Welcome to ‘Still I Rise’ Counselling.

Samantha Flanagan MBACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Email me today for enquiries or an appointment: Samanthaf747@gmail.com

I am now offering online and telephone counselling as well as face to face. Please see my covid policy on the contract page for further details on safety during your face to face session.

These continue to be difficult times for us all. With this in mind I am offering online sessions at reduced rates via Zoom, telephone or WhatsApp video. I’m also able to offer sessions on an ‘as and when’ basis depending on your needs. This means that there is no weekly commitment for you.

Life is never simple. It can feel messy, complicated and uncertain. Speaking to someone who won’t judge you in anyway for your thoughts and fears can feel very helpful. You might need help moving forward or feel stuck. Maybe a past event or trauma is keeping you unable to get on with your life in a healthy and fulfilling way. It may be that a relationship that you are in is feeling confusing and without boundaries. whatever you are experiencing I will listen without judgement and together we can help you to gain clarity.

If you are unsure what to expect from counselling then please take a look at my question and answer page that might help you to decide if counselling with me is for you.

You might feel that you need validation of your experience, or someone who can normalise what you are going through?

This is where I can help you. We can sort through your feelings and thoughts. We can untangle that ball of wool together. I can offer you hope that with our work together things CAN change. I can also help you with:

Trauma

Addiction

Eating Disorders

Anxiety

Grief and loss

Divorce and Relationships

Psychedelic Integration Therapy

I’m an Integrative Counsellor and this means that I work with you and adapt my counselling to suit your needs. Everyone is unique and everyone needs something different to help with issues and concerns.

The counselling space.

Taking a leap of faith.

I understand that coming to counselling can feel daunting.

Counselling can help with many issues but it takes a leap of faith to start the process.

The first session is a ‘getting to know each other’ session where you can talk through what is going on for you. You can tell me what your problems are and I can tell you how I can help you. I will do my best to put you at ease and I reassure you that everything is confidential. Please see my questions and answers page for further information.

I charge £40 for a 60 minute session. Payment can be in cash or by bank transfer. I also offer discounts where needed.

When Dad died it was traumatic, and after many months of struggling we turned to our GP for help. He recommended bereavement counselling and we found Sam. Three years on and our family is able to cope and move forward to enjoy life. Sam has a person centered holistic approach. She is multi skilled. She has gently coached our minds and bodies to connect and be healthy, thanks to all her patience and understanding.
Thankyou Sam, our family recommend you to everyone we know who needs help and direction to be the best that they can be.
